… I still don’t have my car

This is cruel. After waiting for that damn phone call all of this time I finally rode a crowded bus on a hot spring afternoon, contracting the flu in the process, to my Toyota dealership, and actually received the keys to my repainted and repaired Corolla. Only to find out they omitted a few minor details

Unbelievable! They claimed my insurance doesn’t cover the tires (which is bullshit!), but the most surprising this is that they also omitted a detail or two they agreed were covered! Nothing huge really, but still quite a disappointment

So I had to hand them the keys again, and now I will have to wait another week for them to actually finish their work.

All of the things that remain, however, are relatively minor details. They seem to have done a great paint job (as always) and you can never tell the vehicle has actually gone thru a moderately serious accident. It looks like new (the front bumper *is* new!); only some slight imperfections on the front license plate give the sad truth away.

According to my Toyota service representative all of this will cost about half as much as the vehicle itself.
